Van Persie shares special moments

The Dutchman, who joined the Red Devils from rivals Arsenal in 2012, leading the club to a record 21 Premier League title embraced the players before sharing some special moments with ex-teammates De Gea and Luke Shaw.

He also met two other teammates and Dutchmen Wout Weghorst, and Tyrell Malacia, who he spent time with at Feyenoord.

United step up preparation for Barcelona

In a related development, Manchester United continued their preparation for the Europa League playoffs second leg clash against Barcelona.

The Red Devils host the LaLiga giant in the decisive second leg slated for Thursday at Old Trafford to decide which club advances to the next round.

United forced Barcelona to a share of the spoils in the first leg following an entertaining 2-2 draw at Camp Nou last week.

The English giants on Wednesday stepped up preparation as they put finishing touches ahead of that crucial battle tomorrow.
