Victor Osimhen has drawn comparison with legendary Spanish striker Fernando Torres
Former Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has likened Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen to former Spanish international Fernando Torres.
Benitez led Napoli between 2013 and 2015 but his long and successful managerial career is more memorable for his time at Liverpool where he worked with Torres.
The 62-year-old has now affirmed that Osimhen's displays this season are reminiscent of Torres with whom he achieved success at Liverpool.
Benitez compares Osimhen to Torres
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Benitez praised Osimhen while also acknowledging Luciano Spalletti's exceptional team for their exploits so far this season.

“Osimhen reminds me of Torres. A very fast and strong player in the head," Benitez said, drawing parallels between both strikers.
Although Benitez acknowledges Osimhen's importance to Napoli, the Spanish tactician was also keen to give the rest of the team their flowers.
"But when we talk about Napoli, it is not fair to talk about a single footballer. It is great teamwork that of the Azzurri,” Benitez said on his former club.
How Osimhen compares to Torres
Osimhen has scored 20 goals in 24 games across all competitions this season for Napoli which is the base for this comparison to Torres in the first place.
18 of those goals have come in 19 league games where he sits comfortably on top of the scorers' chart on course to finish the season as Capocannoniere.
The Nigerian will be targeting Torres' best season total which the Spaniard achieved in the 2007/08 season by scoring 33 goals in 46 games across all competitions.
Benitez's comparison of both players stems from Osimhen's pace and energy which is reminiscent of Torres' prime years at Liverpool.
