Dybala has enjoyed a superb season at Roma under Mourinho
Paulo Dybala is enjoying his resurgence at Roma so much, that the forward is willing to remain at the club just to play under Jose Mourinho, despite having a €12 million release clause.
Dybala not thinking of a summer move
Dybala’s improved form since joining Roma has seen him courted by many of Europe’s bigger clubs and has even seen him return to the Argentina national team in time to become a World Cup winner.
Dybala credits Mourinho with this upturn in form and has recently said his only goal right now is to work under the Portuguese manager and win trophies for Roma.
He said, “I want to work under José Mourinho for sure. I want to win with AS Roma”.
He also acknowledged the fairly cheap release clause in his Roma contract but says that does not automatically means he will be leaving the club.
“The clause is part of the discussion between Roma and my agents — I don’t know what’s gonna happen at the end of the season”
Dybala enjoying Roma resurgence
Dybala is comfortable at Roma and has been one of their best players this season, scoring eight goals and assisting seven more in 16 Serie A games for the Giallorossi.
With 15 direct goal contributions already, Dybala has already equalled his tally from last season in Serie A despite having played 13 games less.
With form like this, it is no surprise that Dybala is on the lips of many top clubs, especially when he could be allowed to move for a relatively cheap price, but Roma fans can rest easy knowing he is only focused on the club, at least for now.
