Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta speaks on the disappointment of the 1-0 loss to Everton.
Arteta was visibly distraught about Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Everton, and he says his team struggled and needed to do more to win the game.
Arsenal keep their place at the top of the Premier League, but the defeat means they failed to extend their lead at the top of the league by more than the current five points.
Arsenal fail to extend their lead
Everton, buoyed by the home crowd at Goodison Park and inspired by the freshness of a new manager, took the game to Arsenal, matching them for attempts on goal. The Toffees scored the only goal of the game in the 60th minute thanks to a header from James Tarkowski.

Everton's victory was a sobering reminder of the Premier League's difficulty for Arterta's men, who had been cruising to the title.
"Of course there is disappointment. We knew this was going to be a real test for us. We had a lot of control in periods but we struggled.” Arteta said, per the BBC.

"We needed to do more to win the game. Conceding the goal the way we did was disappointing as was how we played in many areas, especially the final third.
"I love them more than before the game and last month. Now we have to be next to them when we have had a defeat."
‘It's a starting point,’ - Sean Dyche on the victory
The winning manager, Sean Dyche, who got his first win for the Toffees in his first game in charge of them, believes this win is a starting point.
Dyche is famous for relaying simple tactics to his team and making them defensively resolute, and he echoed those inclinations in his post-game presser.

"I like these 1-0 wins. A lot of work has been done this week, and the players' honesty has been invaluable to us. There had to be a base to work from. Our plan? Stop it going in our net, put it in their net,” Dyche said, per BBC.
"We tried to plan five weeks of pre-season into a week. We gave the players a lot of information and they have accepted that. It's a starting point - that is all it is.
"The fans are going to be massive for us. I have been here [Goodison Park] when it has been rocking. It was rocking today. But we have to give the fans something.
"Of course, I'm going to drive home and think what a great start but I'm not naive. We have to keep working and improving."
Dyche would now prepare his team for a short trip to Anfield for the Merseyside derby in their next Premier League game.
