The Nigerian women's national team captain had according to reports, been deemed surplus to requirements by her Spanish club in December 2022.
Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi has spoken for the first time since being reportedly released by her Spanish club Levante Las Planas.
The 39-year-old active Nigerian legend had only joined the Spanish club in September 2021 after she agreed to a one-year deal with the then-newly promoted club, following her exit from Belarusian champions FC Minsk.
The centre-back, however, after four months of subpar performance, was reportedly allowed to leave the Spanish club. Ebi had prior, featured just once for the club.

Reacting for the first time since the news of their reported parting, Ebi, although unclear as to who her message was directed, stated that grace, discipline, dedication, consistency and hard work can give what might not be understood.
“If only they understand what GRACE, DISCIPLINE, DEDICATION, CONSISTENCY, and HARD WORK can give you 😄🙏⚽️💪,” Ebi wrote on her Instagram on Friday.
“GOD IS THE GREATEST 🙏,” she added.
The Super Falcons defender has struggled with fitness since a hamstring injury she sustained during Nigeria’s match against Morocco in the semifinals of the 2022 Women's African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in July 2022.
Ebi to join Nigeria's Super Falcons in February's Revelations Cup
Ebi is one among a list of 23 players invited by Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum for the Revelations Cup four-nations tournament in Mexico.

The four-nation tournament hosted by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), and also featuring Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia, would serve as part of Nigeria's preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand later in the year.
Drawn into Group B of the World Cup alongside co-hosts Australia, Olympic champions Canada and debutants, the Republic of Ireland, the Super Falcons will head to Australia and New Zealand in July, as one of seven teams to have qualified for every edition of the Women's World Cup.
