The 66-year-old American has said he is glad his team is moving in a positive direction.
Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has had his contract with the University of Pittsburgh women's soccer team extended for an additional four years.
Prior to his appointment by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the Super Falcons coach in October 2020, the American had been on the payroll of the University of Pittsburgh.
Waldrum's new contract will see him continue to lead the Panthers through to, at least, the 2027 season.
Waldrum reacts to extended contract with Pittsburgh
Speaking on his contract extension with the University soccer team, the 66-year-old stated that he was glad the team was moving in a positive direction, but that there was more work to do.
"I am extremely excited about continuing my time at the University of Pittsburgh," Waldrum said. "I want to thank Heather Lyke and Chancellor Gallagher for believing in me and our staff.
"I'm looking forward to continuing our growth as a perennial national power along with associate head coach Ben Waldrum and assistant coaches Dustin Stein and Jesse Goleman. We have more work to do, but clearly, we are moving in a positive direction.
"Lastly, I want to thank our players, who have been nothing short of amazing. Since day one on campus, they have bought into our philosophy and game model and the commitment it takes to be successful. We are all excited and looking forward to making Panther Nation proud."
Waldrum to lead Super Falcons to Women's World Cup in July
In addition to his coaching role at Pittsburgh, Waldrum will have his hands full when the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup comes calling from July 20 to August 20.

The competition in Australia and New Zealand will be Nigeria's ninth appearance at the finals - making the nine-time African champions a joint-appearance record holder at the Women's World Cup along with the United States, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Brazil and Japan.
Nigeria is in Group B of the 2023 competition with co-hosts Australia, the Republic of Ireland and Canada.
