In an official statement, Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, emphasised the broader vision behind the record-breaking prize:
"While more than $70 million is an incredible, life-changing sum, it’s always aligned with a long-term vision rather than short-term impact. It’s not just to have more money at stake, but to create opportunities for everyone at every level of the ecosystem."

Over 2,000 elite players and 200 top-tier Clubs are expected to compete, making it the largest multi-game esports competition ever staged.
The prestigious Club Championship format will once again take centre stage, with $27 million dedicated to the top 16 Clubs based on cumulative performance, including a staggering $7 million reserved for the 2025 champions.
Additional prize pools will be distributed across Game Championships, MVP Awards, and Road to EWC qualifiers, ensuring a wide range of participants benefit from the record-breaking fund.
