Nigeria U-19 Women's Cricket team aims for semi-finals at World Cup
Nigeria has been drawn in the group stage against Samoa, South Africa, and New Zealand.
Leading up to the tournament, the team made a strong impression in test matches, nearly defeating World No. 8 Pakistan and securing a seven-wicket victory over 14th-ranked Scotland.
Nigeria's opening match against fellow debutants Samoa was abandoned due to a wet outfield, resulting in a shared point. They are now focused on their next game against New Zealand, scheduled for early Monday morning (3:30 am Nigerian time).
The top three teams from each of the four groups will advance to the Super 6 stage, followed by semi-finals and the final.
