Francis Ngannou, a former heavyweight title holder of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has long declared interest in facing Tyson Fury in a boxing bout.
The road to this expected battle has become even more obvious, though, as a result of recent events.
Ngannou has agreed to a new deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL), which frees him from his previous contract's restrictions to take part in a boxing battle.
In reaction to Ngannou's new contract, The Gypsy King loudly proclaimed his status as the world's baddest man and declared that he could give Ngannou the most difficult battle of his career.

On social media, Fury claimed to have the abilities and tenacity required to test Ngannou to the limit.

Fury recently called out other heavyweights, including Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, and Andy Ruiz as their planned fights did not materialize.

Francis Ngannou received a message from Tyson Fury on Instagram requesting the two to fight, he said, "I'm your daddy… Sign the contract you big stiff idiot."
Francis Ngannou quickly hit back in response to Tyson Fury's statement, saying that he has always been ready and available for the fight.
He added, "I have been here the whole time @Tyson_Fury. Since none of these boxers want to fight, let’s make it official."
Ngannou and Fury are now set to continue their negotiations for a boxing fight before the end of the year.
