Hearn explains how Fury's love for money is holding back the undisputed

British sports promoter and chairman of Matchroom Sports Edward Hearn has given an assessment of the boxing heavyweight division.

The heavyweight between is split with potential negotiations for an undisputed fight.

English professional boxer Tyson Fury holds the WBC heavyweight title.

Ukrainian professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk is the reigning WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF heavyweight champion.

Hearn broke down the obstacles hindering a deal between Fury and Usyk being settled.
Usyk had back-to-back fights against British boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua with a smooth negotiation process.

Fury vs Usyk negotiations

Usyk's manager Alexander Krassyuk has stated that Fury has turned down a proposed 60/40 winner deal.

Hearn has now come out with a scathing criticism of Fury for not getting the deal done against Usyk.

Hearn broke down the obstacles hindering a deal between Fury and Usyk being settled.

According to Hearn, Usyk had back-to-back fights against British boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua with a smooth negotiation process.

He said, “Anthony Joshua fought Usyk back to back, no f**king problems, no questions, no long negotiations. ‘That’s my mandatory, I’ll fight him.

"Everyone said swerve Usyk, he’s a tough tough fight, you don’t want to fight him, AJ said ‘no, I want to be undisputed, give me Usyk’. Done.

"The rematch comes in, you don’t want to fight Usyk, you need a warm-up fight, ‘give me Usyk’.”

He stated in the interview that Fury's insistence on a large sum of money goes against his constant outlay on social media and that it does not mean much to him.

“When are you guys going to start understanding?

Usyk's promoter said a 60/40 offer was presented to Fury but he turned it down.
Fury and Usyk are now reportedly far apart in their negotiation demands for the undisputed fight.

‘It’s not about the money, I’ll fight him for free, and make the tickets free for the general public’. F**k Off! You want money, you want too much money, you’re not the draw you think you are.

"That fights not as big as you think it is. Everyone talks about big fights in the Middle East for heavyweight world championships, well guess what, there is only one person who’s delivered big fights for the Middle East and that is me!

"Greed! If you are about legacy, if you want to be undisputed then you take the fight. You’ve all been played for all these years.”

Fury and Usyk are now reportedly far apart in their negotiation demands for the undisputed fight.

He however is expected to return to the ring soon as his promoter Frank Warren has booked the Wembley Stadium for Saturday, April 29, 2023.
