Oleksandr Usyk explains how punching Tyson Fury's big belly will lead to victory.

Ukrainian professional boxer Oleksandr Usyk has reiterated the importance of an undisputed fight.

Usyk is the WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion and has been in negotiations for a fight against English professional boxer Tyson Fury.

Fury holds the WBC heavyweight belt and a fight against Usyk will have all the titles at stake to determine the undisputed in the division.

While Usyk has been vocal about the fight on his social media platforms, Fury has not been responsive.

Tyson Fury is 100% sure his brother Tommy will knock out Jake Paul.

The Ukrainian was the undisputed champion at cruiserweight and now targets Fury to repeat the feat at heavyweight.

There has not been an undisputed champion in the heavyweight division since former British professional boxer Lennox Lewis.

Usyk explained the importance of the undisputed fight in a recent interview on the Overlap podcast.

He said, "I just need this fight and that's it. I think he needs it too.

"This fight is very important for both of us because all belts haven't been held by one person for 30 years in the heavyweight division. So both of us need this fight.

"This will be like any other fight. It's just a big man who has never lost before against a man who has the WBC belt."

The unified heavyweight champion stated that punching Fury's belly will be a recipe for victory if they take to the ring.

He added, "Tyson Fury is belly, big belly. Yes, of course [I'm going to punch the belly], every time."

Usyk's camp are still in negotiations for the undisputed fight against Fury in the first quarter of the year.

Fury's manager Frank Warren has however come out to say a fight against Usyk is not close to fruition although a venue has been booked for Saturday, April 29, 2023.
