American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies Jamel "Ja" Morant is under fire for his activity on social media.
The 23-year-old point guard allegedly showed off a gun on his official Instagram account in the early hours of Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Morant went live on his Instagram account showing off topless women dancing in the background.
The live video suggests Morant was at a strip club with the dancers without clothes to cover their tops.
The video went viral as he showed off a small pistol gun while having fun in the club.
The Instagram live by Morant comes after he featured for the Memphis Grizzlies in a loss away to Western Conference leaders the Denver Nuggets.
NBA reacts to Morant's Gun on Instagram
Morant is one of the rising stars in the NBA leading his team to the second spot in the Western Conference.
The video of Morant showing off the GUN has gone viral and the NBA is set to take action,
NBA spokesman Mike Bass confirmed that the league is investigating in a statement that said, “We are aware of a social media post involving Ja Morant and are investigating.”
This is not the first time Morant would be involved with Guns. Earlier this week, a police report came out the 23-year-old NBA superstar reportedly punched a 17-year-old boy during a pickup basketball game that happened in 2022.
The report then went on to state that Morant reportedly also flashed a gun at the 17-year-old after the punches.

Morant a two-time All-Star responded to the report by performing a gun celebration in the Grizzlies game against the Houston Rockets.
