Jamaican track legend Usain Bolt has suggested stricter measures for athletes that dope, stating why it's possible to run clean.

Track and Field has one of the highest doping offenders in sports history. Expectedly, the greatest sprint athlete Usain Bolt isn't proud of the situation and has asked athletes to take a cue from his legacy.

The legendary Jamaican athlete who is highly respected for his iconic track accomplishments, ran clean throughout his career, therefore makes him a perfect role model for upcoming athletes and the sport.

Usain Bolt is the greatest track athlete in history

In a recent press conference, Bolt unapologetically advocated for stricter measures for athletes who are caught doping as a necessity for clean sport.

"I’ve always been strong on doping. I feel like athletes should get life bans. If you go out of your way to cheat to be a better athlete I feel you should get life bans, that’s a fact,” said the eight-time Olympic gold medallist.

The eleven-time world champion also said athletes need to take a cue from his legacy by accepting that it's possible to run clean and still achieve great things.

“I’ve proven to the world you can do it. You can be great without doping, that’s one of the things I want to preach to the younger kids," added the living legend.

Usain Bolt remains a great role model for track and field following his historic accomplishments

Bolt leads his life by example, which is what makes him a favorite worldwide. He remains the fastest man to live, as his 100m and 200m world records of 9.58s and 19.19s are yet to be broken.
