New World Record for Femke Bol; the best performance at the 2023 New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.

Dutch 400m Hurdles star athlete Femke Bol stormed a new 500m indoor World Record (WR) of 1:05.63 to win the event at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.

Femke Bol becomes new 500m indoor WR holder

Her time smashed the previous record that stood for seventeen years, giving a glimpse of the impeccable form she's in this season.

Bol's career achievements

The highly talented 400m and 400m Hurdler won the 400mH bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with a very fast 52.03s, which stands as the European Record and the third fastest time in history. She also became the first Dutch Olympic medallist in the event.

At the 2022 World Championships in Oregon, Bol won a silver medal behind Sydney McLaughlin-Leveron's World Record (WR) of 50.68s.

Femke Bol is World Championships 400mH silver medallist

The 22-year-old became the first female athlete to complete the 400m and 400mH double at a major championship after she won both titles at the 2022 European Championships in Munich, and then added a third Gold in the women's 4x400m relay.

Bol is also a two-time 2022 World Indoor Championship silver medallist, a two-time 2021 European Indoor Champion, and a two-time Diamond League winner.

She is tipped as the biggest competitor to stop McLaughlin-Levrone's dominance in the 400mH, and also challenge the world's best 400m runners for a World and Olympic title.
