Shericka Jackson and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone stunned in women's 60m heats at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.

World 200m Champion Shericka Jackson has failed to qualify for the 60m final at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.

The Jamaican clocked 7.34s to finish fifth in her qualifying heat. The race was won by USA's Mikiah Brisco in 7.15s, ahead of fellow Americans Kayla White in 7.21s and Melissa Jefferson with a time of 7.25s.

Bahamian Anthonique Strachan got the last final spot in 7.32s, ahead of Jackson.

World leader Aleia Hobbs clocked the overall fastest time of 7.08s to win her heat, far ahead of Celera Barnes in 7.21s.

Meanwhile, World 400mH Record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone also failed to qualify for the final.

Though she clocked a Personal Best (PB) of 7.33s, which is her first 60m career race, it wasn't enough to see her through as she finished fifth in her heat race.

Holloway blazes to world lead

Grant Holloway blazed to a massive 60m Hurdles world lead in his season opener, stopping the clock at 7.39s to win his qualifying heat.

Freddie Crittenden was secon in a distant 7.59s, and Robert Dunning third in 7.60s.

In the second heat, Daniel Robert won in an impressive 7.52s, ahead of Trey Cunningham in 7.62s. Jaylan Mcconico clocked 7.77s to also make it through to the final.
